Whats going on guys, brand new mini cooper owner here. First time ive owned one before, just bought a 2013 cooper S hardtop from fort myers mini dealership here in florida.

No mods done yet, i ordered a 2 inch shorty Alta antenna, and an Alta recirculating valve spring upgrade...which i was hoping to get some reviews or comments on!

Ive owned a turbo'd car before, it was a 2006 scion tc with a full custom kit on it..its good to be boosted again, stock or not! im looking into starting some modifications right away, looking for the easiest route to more hp.

Wanted mods to-do list:
-lower the car
-ECU chip
-New rims tires
-Exhaust
-Brake upgrade
-Cold air intake
-Intercooler
-Intercooler piping/Charge pipe muffler delete
-Paint black trim above wheel wells gloss black to match roof.

So far i havent hit much, but i just got a promotion at my job, so slowly but surely ill make progress.

Like a said im new to the MINI world, and definitely a newb. Havent been on a car forum in years so if anyone has any advice or helpful comments, please feel free to share.

Matt welcome. I just moved to Naples and have lived in Fort Myers all my life. There is a rally this weekend on Saturday actually if you want to come out and meet other MINIacs. There are a few modded cars and I would love to talk to you about you options and you can see some mods done by other members of SWFL MINIs.

Also, our area is pretty inactive with meets for now (looking to improve that) so check out sunshineminis.org too for more state stuff.

hey kyle, thanks for the welcome! yea they mentioned that to me when i bought the car at fort myers mini, luckily im off that saturday and my wife said it sounded fun to her, so well probably make a day of it.

and yea itd be great to get some insight from local mini owners about mods, forums are great, but nothing beats tangible knowledge!
