She's Justa Cooper

2007 Mini Cooper
Automatic
73400 km

5 weeks with us and no problem so far. Although I'm kinda disappointed with fuel consumption -- very thirsty at 10.8L/100km (9.3km/L) (21.8mpg). And I don't drive like a racer.

I thought the justa I had as a loaner drank gas a bit too, more so than my S, IMO. Nice ride, enjoy it!

That level of fuel consumption seems anomalous.

I average ~35 mpg in my '13 Justa Roadster, and that's with periodic bouts of spirited motoring.

As far as comparisons to the S, my observations are consistent with those of Beachnmini. My current N16 powered MINI gets no better mileage than my former '11 MCS hardtop. In fact, the N18 when driven conservatively seems to do slightly better.

That fuel consumption is not right. We have an '08 Justa with 90K miles that we picked up about 8 months ago, I have never got less than 30 mpg, and we don't hold back when driving it. Usually average 31-33 each tank.

I think the newer models get better mileage compared to the old ones.

Your comments get me worried a little bit. I will now start watching the actual consumption based on fill-up and distance covered. If I see a discrepancy, I need to have the obc checked.

Not sure how accurate your readout might be, my 2008 Justa never returns less than 35 and a few all freeway trips were over 40mpg - all measured by mileage and gallons, then calculated. I see my dash says 32mpg avg.

Regarding the fuel economy, it sounds low. I've been averaging about 34.5 mpg on my Cooper S, and that mostly city driving. Sorry.

Happy motoring and please remember to wave to your fellow MINI brothers and sisters.
