R56 passenger window slower than driver?
passenger window slower than driver?
so ive noticed my passenger window is significantly slower to roll up and down than my driver side window (by ~.5-1 seconds), and it sounds as though its straining slightly....
personally it doesnt bother me....i just dont want the motor to fail or blow a fuse leaving my window stuck open/ closed.
now im almost certain there is an issue, however i thought i would check with y'all and rule out the possibility that its normal for our cars....
also, if anyone has had a similar problem fixed by their dealer, how long did it take them?

My 09 R55 does that. I noticed it when I first bought it used but assumed it was just on the same circuit with a longer wire to the other door. It's been fine a year later and 35K miles later. I'm glad to hear someone else mention it though!
Just as a precautionary measure, go buy some 100% silicone spray. I used to use this a fix for the same issue on other cars. Spray it down the tracks to lube up and treat the rubber. This will allow the glass to slide smoothly on the rubber and keep it from binding.
Don't use grease as it wears out and also leaves a film on the glass. Silicone actually bonds to and treats the rubber.

I have the same problem. A few times it wouldn't work at all. When that happened I opened and closed the door and it worked again. Pretty sure it's a connection but haven't been motivated enough to take it apart
Correction. My driver's window is slightly behind my passenger. It starts a half second after my passenger and finishes a half second late. Always been that way. It always works though. Not concerned. Sorry you are having issues.
Now I'm left still wondering if it's normal that the windows don't start at the same exact moment. Anybody?

You don't mention the model year of your car, but her's was still under warranty. Check with your dealer about this bulletin. Good luck!
