Cowling and wiper arm removal R53

Good afternoon all....

So I am preparing my car for some vinyl. I've got most of the information I need, like removing certain panels, the trim, outer door handles...(door handles i could use some help on BTW ) But the part I need help on is the COWLING. Removing the cowling vents is not an issue, however the information I'm looking for is how to remove the wiper arm and the plastic protrusion underneath that. What I need is a clean shot of the painted surface of the cowling. If anyone has any tips or tricks on how to remove it, you will be showered in gratitude. this is on my 2006 R53 Checkmate.

It's one of the only things i can't find. I've searched here, on google and youtube.

oh and of course i will be showing some pictures as soon as the vinyl wrap is on. (the 3M 1080 Pearl white will be here next week )

The wiper arms have a cap that pops off, and under the cap is a (I believe 13mm) nut. Remove the cap, unbolt the nut, and pull up on the wiper arm being careful not to scratch paint. The black pieces under the wiper arms just pull up with a slight pull. Hope this helps.

If you need some pics of the wiper arm removal with a tool its located on the Wiper Aero conversion thread, or you could try pulling it off, it might be on there a little tight so using some penetrating oil and wiggling it out of the threads will help, if its not on there too tight. Just be careful not to scratch the cowl like mentioned above.

Good luck on your project, sounds great.
