Phone Charger/Ipod Connector- Drain Battery?

Couldn't find this on a search- but got a question.
Will a phone charger plugged into the car drain the car's battery. Also the ipod connection. Will this cause the battery to drain when the car is turned off.

I asked a Mini service guy in Richmond and his response didn't get me feeling warm and fuzzy. He said he didn't "think" it would.

Any advice or thoughts. Thanks in advance

No, at least not in the cig lighter. My charger has an LED when it has power. It doesn't work unless the car is on, so the Mini cuts power to the socket.

There's an easy way to confirm this... With your MINI off, plug in your charger then your iPod/iPhone - if there's power been fed up the carger your iPod/iPhone will show the charging icon in the startus bar. Same thing with the USB connector.

Although the folks who've responded are correct - there's little to no draw on the battery for these devices if the car is off...
