First Injury to M

Flying round about 75 mph on highway- guy in front of me moves to the right lane quickly- what's in front of me??? A huge truck tire retread and a plastic bumper. Had no choice but to hit it head on. The car took it like a champ.
I did not know (Mini parts guy told me)- nail polish remover and a rag and all the black scuff marks off in 30 seconds. N0 damage to the bumper. Looks like new. The missing grille $103- didn't have in stock but will get it in 1 day.
All in all at first glance I thought- damn- $5-$600 dollars. Now should be $125-$150.
Bummed she had her first damage- but glad it didn't cost an arm to repair. Oh and Hendrick Mini is da crap. Emailed the picture of the damage, they emailed back with the part and price and scheduled appt for tomorrow. No phone call even needed. To cool

Thanks all- yeah if I had made any attempt to avoid the road stuff, I would have been in serious trouble.
Truth be told when I was looking to purchase this car I was really slow walking making the decision to buy. Now with 11K miles (purchased March 2013) I am completely digging this car. It is super---super fun to drive, the dealer we use here is Charlotte has ben excellent and now I see that it can take a punch and survive nicely.
We do a lot of long weekend trips averaging about 500-700 miles and although we also just purchased a 2013 Honda CRV- the CM is always the ride we use to make the trips.
