From these pictures it looks like if you buy the entire system you get the installation template (for drilling holes in the roof), which is absolutely necessary; however, with the mounting kits alone it is not clear if the template is included. Is it?

Update*

The template comes in the install kits. The mounting hardware is for example people that have lost the hardware or bought it second hand and going to install, will need additional hole saw and test arbor. I was posting all the options for you.

You can also get the test arbor and the hole saw separate from the kit.
