R56 2011 "S" 100,000 mile update
2011 "S" 100,000 mile update
For those wondering about the dependability of the Mini, I thought I would post my first 100,000 mile experience.
First off I drive a fair amount. I bought the car in February of 2011. I was fairly easy on the car and changed the oil and filter every 7000 miles. I was on my second set of tires and replaced brakes and rotors at 90,000. I had to replace the HPFP, mass air flow meter and changed the fuel filter. I spent about $1200 in these repairs (I replaced pump and fuel filter). I had planned on keeping the car for another 100,000 but traded it in for a new GP.
It roughly cost me about $0.25 a mile to drive my S mini (depreciation, maintenance and gas). Since I drive a lot for work and I am reimbursed for mileage at $.47 it was a good deal.
Now the Mini S was fun but nothing compared to the GP.

Anything peculiar with the way your car behaves? Mine is at almost 50k the engine shakes and behaves weird at times, and the transmission seems to become harder to shift, are these things that would be consider normal? Also any mods?
