Clicking at the rear

At slow speed, when I take off or let off the gas, I hear a clicking or clacking over the back area of the hatch. I extended those rubber bumpers under the hatch. I checked the support. I was wondering if it's my top mount of the rear shocks that's shot. Has anybody experienced this?

car is currently stored for winter but i took a drive around the block this morning, I noticed this faint clunking at rear (driver side) when I hit bumps and coming off my driveway. Checked my aftermarket exhaust brackets and pipes to be ok, no wiggle on the wheel, and no loose heat shields.
Any progress with OP's problem?

I chased a noise like that for a while. What I found was the rear outboard bake pads were moving in the caliper. Just a tiny bit, but it was making a noise I couldn't stand. The pads were Hawk ceramics which I replaced with Akebono ceramics. All is quite now.

You might want to pull a rear wheel & check the pads.

Thanks, and yes indeed. I raised up the rear left wheel and by rotating clockwise and counter, there was a slight drag but making the sound I am hearing. I will replace my oem with Stoptech street perf pads that have been sitting in my garage before car is back in the road this spring.
