Are there any tips on replacing the a/c expansion valve on R53

 

cut the firewall out of the car, replace valve and weld back in.

It was the single toughest part of my AC replacement last year. I finally made a small tool to help pull the two halfs together it would be much easier with a extra set of hands

 

Thanks for the reply, the TXV came included in a compressor replacement kit that I purchased, not real sure I want to tackle replacing it.
