n00b here with a '13 cooper S

Hellllo everyone,

Just bought a 2013 Mini cooper S hatchback and I'm quite excited I was just wondering has anything changed from 2007 to the present 2013 mini's? I plan on modifying it in exterior/performance/suspension terms. For example would all aftermarket R56 coilovers and exhaust fit my car?

Thanks ahead for all the input!

Welcome! Check minimania.com or outmotoring.com I know the motor is the N18 vs. N14.

Suspension and exhaust fitment will be consistent throughout, but 2011+ brought the change from N14 engine to N18; along with "LCI", a freshening of some bodywork components. You'll want to shop carefully for bodywork related changes since there are difference.

Planning on getting coil overs within the next week or two. I wont be heavily tracking this car so I don't really need to buy the best of the best. I want something thats good for daily driving (not too stiff not too soft or bouncy). My main concern is to get really lowww lol. So far i'm thinking of either megan racing ez street, vmaxx, or BC. My budget is around $1000. What do you recommend?
