Ok everyone, To start off, I know that this would look absolutely terrible!!!!!! But I've been googling to find a Cooper on 16x8 ET 20 on STOCK SUSPENSION. I know, I know, I know, And I know, that this would look terrible, but I'm not going to have my KW's/Camber Plates/Adjustable Control Arms - for about a month before I get these wheels & tires. I understand that I went ahead and did it all backwards, but I COULDN'T PASS UP the deal on the rim/tire combo.

So anyone and everyone, please see if any of you have any pics laying around with coops on this basic wheel/tire setup prior to having their suspensions done.

Like I said this is probably a shot in the dark, but I just can't find a single picture on the WORLD wide web........

 

So I went ahead and did the Megan's with the lca's with the 16x8's.

 

They don't look bad at all

 

Thanks man, but the heading on the thread makes no sense anymore. Since I'm running on Megan's / Lca's / and the 16x8's. I'm still "tuning" the suspension to where I truly want it to sit at, but I'm getting there. Usually only have like 1 night a week to work on the car.

Sorry to bring back up an old thread but as you first mentioned, this setup is near impossible to find any info on... and I will be having the exact same thing done.

Now I have the exact color wheels and car as you, Im lowered on Megan Coilovers... What adjustments do I need exactly? Did you do the Control Arms because they were rubbing on the fender liner or...? Im just lowered on the coils, stock control arms... Want to know before I just throw the wheels on and drive off lol

 

Myself as well.....I'd love to know all that's involved with this EXACT setup. I'm new to the Mini world, so not as familiar as I am with VW's.

If I did the Megan CO's and the Rota Grid's in 16x8's(just like OP), will I need to buy anything else suspension wise, or can I just lower and do an alignment?

With this setup, is any trimming of fender liners, inner fender/quarter lips, needed?

OP what tire size did you do? Do you rub?
