Iphone5 HOT when running Pandora

Two questions. Is it normal for the Iphone to be real hot when running Pandora w/ mini connected? Is it normal for the Pandora/MiniConnect screen to stay on the entire time it is connected? Does not seem right. When I try to put it top sleep it turns off all together.

Thanks

My Galaxy S2 LTE gets pretty hot when under heavy use (Not with the MINI, but still.)

I wouldn't worry about it.

Here's a discussion the apple forums about the iPhone 5 getting hot.

Run streaming audio, GPS and text and your car cant even hold the battery percentage, it will slow how it looses the power but it is really consuming some resources. As it is doing all of this it will make some heat...it happens. If it gets too hot you will actually get a temperature warning and the phone will not function. The metal back on the 5 will seam warmer than the previous glass back of the 4/4s but it is acting as a heat-sink and releasing the heat, whereas the glass was an insulator.

I don't use Pandora, but my iPhone 4s runs hot when using the Magellan GPS app. If you're using a case, I would suggest removing it when running an app which makes the phone hot for any length of time, to allow it to get rid of as much heat as possible. Heat is the enemy of electronics and can greatly shorten the battery's life.
