For those of you who have not left yet. I am packing my big 10 inch .... no ... get your mind out of the gutter ... and no not the Aero Smith song Big 10 inch Record, either. .... I' talkin' 'bout my big 10 inch dobsonian telescope, And that IS NOT LENGTH it is DIAMETER ... All kidding aside, I think it's about 5 foot tall. If I bring it I can't bring luggage -- I'm staying at the Fontana and if we are 5,000 feet closer to the moon up in the mountains then the view should be spectacular. Anyone wishing to take a gander at the heavenly bodies in the skies before watching the heavely bodies at the bar ... or on Cinemax ... stop by. I promise that IF the sky is clear you will be amazed -- bring the kids and we'll try and find Jupiter or Saturn. Venus is just a brught ball of light -- britest object other than the moon. ... No I just play an Astronomy Geek on TV, In real Life I'm KUL ... ... I think ... ..... I will post a sign at the information counter / desk with my cabin number phone number and let you know where I'll have the scope set up -- thurs, fri, and Sat night. Anyone more familiar with the area? A place that is very dark and no light pollution is the best. .... I'm crashing now. This old body ain't gonna make my 4AM departure time which means NO HELIX PULLEY. I'll miss my scheduled appointment. ...... Oh well. It's still a fun car. .... Hope to see y'all there.
