Confused looking at Mini's site?? S vs JCW??

Ok, looking at replacing my R56 model, with a Countryman. I would like the AWD model. 3 questions:

1. Looking at the Mini site, I can't figure out if there is a JCW AWD model countryman available, or is the AWD only available in the S model?

2. How is the JCW model listed with more horsepower, AND better fuel economy?

3. What is the real difference on the JCW motor, to get more horsepower and better economy (if #2 is true!)? They are both Turbocharged correct? Neither is Supercharged, correct?

Mini needs to simplify their site, it's difficult to figure out what is what.. too much marketing hype crap on there.

1. I believe the JCW has AWD standard.

2. I see the same efficiency for the SAll4 as the JCW on MINI USA.

JCW comes standard with ALL4.

The N18 motor on the JCW has valvetronic and a bigger turbo, so it's probably just more efficient through engineering.

Both are turbo. See above, JCW motor has more fancier electronics and a bigger turbo.

If you look at the full features list (PDF), it does a better job of giving you the information you need than the rest of the site does.

Birdman,
The JCW is an animal. I have just over 500 miles on mine so have not even pushed over 4,500 rpm per the break in period guide and it still flat out flies. I have 19 inch rims and with the runflats it corners far better than my Clubbie S ever did even with higher center of gravity. The all4 for makes start outs smooth with none of the pull or tire spin I had on the Clubbie S.

The S and JCW get better mileage than the non-turbo Countryman because the normally aspirated motor has to work harder to carry the weight around.

When I was at the dealer, the JCW and S got virtually the same mileage.

The JCW also comes with All4 - not an option.
