Spare Tire?

For those that switched out of run-flats....what do you do? Get a temp spare tire? Or do you hold hope that you don't end up stranded?

I got a little kit that has a bottle of slime and a little air compressor in it.. The compressor plugs in the power point in the boot... Or that's where I at least plug it in at..

AAA membership with free towing, or fix-a-flat with air pump, or a Mini Cooper spare.

You can find four spoke spare tires for other cars too, you just have to make sure that the spare can clear the brakes first. Honda Civics, older Jetta's, basically any older cars with four spoke wheels.

No spare tire at all for the R52/57 so here is the solution at which I have arrived. The bag also has room for an extra qt. of oil and cleaning supplies including a bottle of 'supply'.

Option 1: Flat repair kit: http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...Tire+Inflation
Option 2: AAA 100-mile towing package (what flat RFT tires are good for anyway)
Option 3: Tire hole repair kit + compressor (see Option 1):

I went with all 3 (have 3 ex-RFT cars), but am thinking of dropping #2.
