R50/53 MINI USA and MINI Canada option packages
Please excuse me if this is already a topic elsewhere on the site.
I can't help but notice that many owners mention wheels/tires in their signatures. In Canada if you take the Sport package you get 17's automatically.
Are there major differences in the Sport and Premium packages offered in each country?

I can't really answer your question, but I can tell you that here in Mexico, MINIs come in three versions, called "Salt", "Pepper", and "Chili". The sport package comes with the "pepper" vesion, which automatically includes 17" s-lite tires.
Thanks for the reply Calvin77, I think it could be interesting to see how the packages were put together across North America. Because I had never taken the time to look, I didn't know that MINI was selling cars in Mexico.
I'll consider reposting this with more info from my end describing the packages and see if it gets more interest from others.

Depending on where you live, you may have different tires. Living in the South US with mild winters and no snow to speak of, they only offered the performance style tires. I was told if I lived north; I could have my option of the All Seasons.
