R50/53 Southwest dealerships
Can anyone out there recommend a dealership in the southwest that is good to deal with and might have a stock of cars right now? My local doesn't have any here...
And any tips for a potential out of state buy would be helpful, too...
Any dealers out there who want to speak their peice, drop me a line, too!
Thanks.

Chips, Desert MINI in Las Vegas had (as of 10/22/02) about 28 Coopers on the lot. No MCSs. They were not bad to deal with except for a couple of things. I had 5 different salesmen over the 4 months it took to get my car, and they force a $2500 add-on for permaguard and a choice of a cd changer or rally lights.

There are no southwest dealers with cars ready to go on spot that aren't either over MSRP or have major dealer add-ons forced upon them.
Best waiting list for a MCS at MSRP in the southwest is most likely MINI of Murray in SLC Utah. The wait list is around 4 months.

I see minis in the paper now all the time with low miles and at MSRP or under if you discount the sales tax which you don't have to pay...saw a loaded MCS with under 1000 miles at about $500 under MSRP if you discount sales tax. I think many speculators thinking this was going to be like the early PT Cruiser have been disappointed because the sheer demand numbers that were there for the Cruisers are not there for the mini, just not as broad a market...same thing is happening to the new Tbird, that plus the stock market meltdown....be patient and watch the paper, you can find better deals on the slightly used mini's, especially the mcs..
