#3 here I come!

Hi All -

I'm waiting for my third MINI to arrive - hopefully sometime in May. I started with a 2004 green cooper, moved on to a 2007 Cooper S in Gray and now I'm jumping into a brand new Cooper S Cabrio - Reef Blue with lots of options. Waiting impatiently!

Nice! I'm waiting for #3 as well, having had 06 and 09 MCSs I'm moving on to a new Coupe S. Should be here in mid to late May...

Welcome and enjoy. Be sure to track it every day during building and shipping and take loads of pictures for us when it arrives.

I took three years off with a 135i cabrio. A great car but I never got over my MINIs so it was time to go back.

I'm also waiting for #3. Started out with an '08 MC, then an '09 MCS, now expecting my '13 MCS in about two weeks. All hardtops, all stick.

I've driven a lot of cars since selling my '09 and the only one that made me feel as excited about driving as the Mini does was a '13 Porsche 911. My price range being what it is, getting another Mini was a no-brainer.

I would take the 911, one day. My S was a manual but I'll be teaching my daughter to drive on this one so I needed to get an auto. Its my one regret, but it does make traffic a little easier.

Makes sense. I've never personally driven an automatic Mini, but I've always heard good things. The 911 I drove was the automatic (PDK) version with launch control and sport exhaust, and you'd really have to be a purist to choose stick over that setup.

Hope your delivery is a speedy one.

Whats wrong with the first two? You guys seem to go through cars pretty quick.

Buying a new MINI doesn't necessarily mean you have gotten rid of your earlier MINI's. I still have 3 of my earlier MINI's which I enjoy driving as much as the one I purchased last week. Each has it's individual quirks and offers a difference experience.

I don't lease but I love being in a new car, along with being 100% covered by warranty and maintenance. I know I could get extended coverage, but I also get bored easily and want the newest technology. I did keep my R56 for 4 years which is a year longer than my last 3 cars

Congrats......I have two at the moment.A 2008 and a 2012. I like my 2008 much better than my 2012. It's tighter and runs more like a sports car. My 2012 is more like a luxury car car. It's quieter and rides smoother. It doesn't have the engine growl ether. Never drove the 2012 before buying it gas I thought they'd be the same. I was wrong.

As long as some of you are keeping them. I currently have two, unfortunately I had to sell the classic last year. There is no way I could do a lease, I did 5k miles last month alone.
