Sure it may be a silly thing but I just had to have my iPod painted. The white cover just stood out too much in my dark interior. I sent it to ColorwarePC and had them paint it in the color "Carbon". Now I'm trying to remedy the white control buttons that stand out like pimples on a prom girl.

I suspect the reason they (Colorware) doesn't paint them is that the function lables on the buttons are back lit. It would be virtually impossible to paint around the letters and to paint over them would make controlling the iPod a challenge for all but the most avid users. Since they are not moving buttons, and touch sensitive, they may not paint them for fear of interference with the button's ability to receive commands. I doubt this though as the wheel, which they do paint, funtions with the same technology.

Following that line of thinking I'm going to experiment with some more iPod Mods....applying window tint to those white buttons! I'll let you know how it goes.
