I did test drive -- sort of. I drove an automatic, but ordered a manual.
I've had two automotive obsessions for the past ten years: little British roadsters and MINIs. When the MINI Roadster came out, I knew I had to have one.
Ordered a Cooper S, in a color combination I haven't seen on a Roadster anywhere: here, Google image searches, dealer inventories, or in person.
Spice Orange, with Silver Sport Stripes.
Other options:
Chrome mirror caps
Black vinyl seats
Alloy dash insert
MINI Yours Black/Sattelite Gray leather dash cover and knee roll
Premium Package 1, and all the stuff that includes
Cold Weather Package (which, because the PP1 includes heated mirrors, just means heated seats)
Sport Package, with the Black Star wheels (and aforementioned silver stripes)
MINI Connected w/ Navigation
H/K Stereo
Rear Fogs, just to plug that hole.
I think that's everything.

Every time I look at mine, it reminds me that I need to recalibrate the color balance on my primary monitor. On the secondary, it looks nice and orange. On the main one, it's a bit red.

Yeah, Orange is, I think, the hardest color to photograph or represent. I made sure to go see Spice Orange in person, in multiple lighting situations, before I ordered.
Haven't tried to find out yet; figured that info wouldn't be available yet.
I examined WW's inbound service schedule to project which ship I would end up on. Based on the fact that my MINI port designation was Baltimore, there was only one ship headed there from Southampton. It made the guessing easy. and the Tamesis it was.
There are three WW ships leaving SouthHampton between Sunday and the 20th, headed for Brunswick, GA. I could see it being on any of those. And that's assuming it goes WW.
