Start the countdown

Ordered my Roadster! Wasn't planning to order so soon, but the Spring Cleaning Event cash and a little further haggling convinced me.

Congrats on the order! Need some details - Color, model, options. Did you test drive the car before you ordered it?

You took the plunge. Congrats. Now comes the best part, waiting. I'm right there with you.

I did test drive -- sort of. I drove an automatic, but ordered a manual.

I've had two automotive obsessions for the past ten years: little British roadsters and MINIs. When the MINI Roadster came out, I knew I had to have one.

Ordered a Cooper S, in a color combination I haven't seen on a Roadster anywhere: here, Google image searches, dealer inventories, or in person.

Spice Orange, with Silver Sport Stripes.

Other options:
Chrome mirror caps
Black vinyl seats
Alloy dash insert
MINI Yours Black/Sattelite Gray leather dash cover and knee roll
Premium Package 1, and all the stuff that includes
Cold Weather Package (which, because the PP1 includes heated mirrors, just means heated seats)
Sport Package, with the Black Star wheels (and aforementioned silver stripes)
MINI Connected w/ Navigation
H/K Stereo
Rear Fogs, just to plug that hole.

I think that's everything.

Looks like I may have a shorter countdown than I expected. My MINI has started production!

Congrat! I'm beginning to feel like I got the short end of the stick. It was two weeks between ordering and production notification for me.

No problem. It defines us as the "waiting on their MINI" group.

Every time I look at mine, it reminds me that I need to recalibrate the color balance on my primary monitor. On the secondary, it looks nice and orange. On the main one, it's a bit red.

Yeah, Orange is, I think, the hardest color to photograph or represent. I made sure to go see Spice Orange in person, in multiple lighting situations, before I ordered.

I picked up my roadie on Tuesday.
The wait was almost unbearable, but it was TOTALLY worth it.

Orange/silver/black is going to look AMAZING. Congrats!

Great news. Did you figure out what ship you might be on?

Haven't tried to find out yet; figured that info wouldn't be available yet.

I examined WW's inbound service schedule to project which ship I would end up on. Based on the fact that my MINI port designation was Baltimore, there was only one ship headed there from Southampton. It made the guessing easy. and the Tamesis it was.

There are three WW ships leaving SouthHampton between Sunday and the 20th, headed for Brunswick, GA. I could see it being on any of those. And that's assuming it goes WW.

What port is your MINI expected to arrive in?
