TWM adapter questions

I'm going to install a Tyrol Sport SSK pretty soon. I want to change my shift **** as well to a TWM product. I see they sell an adapter for the MINI (unthreaded-threaded):

Will the shift boot connect to the adapter?
Will the adapter add any height to the stifter stick at all?

I ask about the height because I want to get TWM's competition shift **** but I am unsure if the 10" option will be too much if the threaded adapter adds some additional height by itself:

Okay bear with me on this one because I am going to try to explain it where it makes sense.

The first question is an unknown. I didn't know that they made that so I am going to ahead and get it because I have an Alta SSK and a TWM **** and I am rocking the JCW Alcantara shift boot.

As far as the length of the shifter. It looks like from the description it does not adjust the height of the shifter. 10" with the ****(that's what she said) would be some where in the neighborhood around the bottom of the center speedo. I personally could not handle that, unless I was doing some kind of rally. Also it would look really dumb. A good way to test fit would be to cut a wood dowel pin in the 3 links that they sell and take off the stock **** and size them up to see what you would like.

I hope that answers you questions and like I said I am ordering the boot retainer now.

Ya that helped a lot actually. I wasn't completely sure how much of the shifter rod the adapter or the shifter itself would cover. To kind of clarify: I know the Billy Club is about 5-6" but was it's installed it only adds about 3" in additional shifter height. I called TWM with these questions twice but had to leave a message both times so that's why I've reverted to NAM for help.

Did you buy the Alta SSK used or something? I have not heard of one for the R56.
