Hey,

I'm shopping for a suspension setup on my 02 MC and I'm still undecided between coilovers or Koni adjustables and springs. The car is driven daily but I want to optomize the suspension setup for auto-x. I don't mind having a harsh ride. Does anybody know the spring rate information for some common aftermarket setups? Primarily I'm looking at Leda and Spax coilovers, and H-Sport springs. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

i too was looking for a suspension setup.

but after much reading on this forum. i decided to skip on coilovers and go with the stock shocks and get some H&R springs. Then after further reading, I am also gonna get the H&R front and rear sway bars. then some strut tower bars for the front and rear.

I figured since i drive a MC and not an MCS...id make it stick to the ground like no other. then maybe get some engine mods going.

Leda recommends 300 lb 7 " in front and 400 lb 8 " in the rear. The Kw's came with their own springs and I do not know what the rates were.

I would not spend money on front and rear strut tower bars for a while. Most people say that they do not do much at all. Get some good shocks/struts or Coil overs (i have H&R coil overs and luv them). Invest in a rear sway bar and maybee a front (i do not know much about them). Get some lightweight wheels, and good tires, and better brake pads and you will have an awesome cone carver.
