A Tale of Two Minis (or one not so)
A Tale of Two Minis (or one not so)
Yeah, that's not gonna happen...
We're too big nowadays, and we NEEEEEEEED 27 cupholders and DVD players with navigation and 2.6 terabytes of on-board storage and electric everything and heated and cooled everything else, and 84 airbags and four metric tons of safety crash structures, and on and on and on.
Lotus seem to be the only people who can make modern streetable cars that weigh under a ton any more. And their latest, if I read correctly, is going to be 3,000 lbs! (True, it will be a four-seater, but still!)
That said, I'd much rather be in a MINI in an accident than even a 1990s-vintage Civic. Let alone a 60s-vintage Mini.
