R52 Wind Screen advice needed
Wind Screen advice needed
I have an '06 MCS Convertible and do love it. I am interested in getting a wind screen for top-down motoring and was wondering if those who have a wind screen can enlighten me. I will either go OEM or possibly WindBlox.
The cost difference being approximately half for the WindBlox. Do any of you have or used the wind screens? Do they curtail the wind in the cabin. Have any of you tried the WindBlox model? I would like your reviews please.
Thanks in advance and Happy Motoring.

Get whatever you can find for the R52, you will kick yourself for all the times you didn't have it. I found a very good used deflector on ebay and love it. Not sure about the other types but anything will make a huge difference. Just make sure it is for the R52 and not R57.
Deflector and windows up, we can actually converse in a normal tone of voice AND hear all the fine nuances of Bohemian Rhapsody at the same time while clipping along at interstate speeds.

I have used the OEM one in the Convertible for many years and miles. I find it to a must have for any MINI Convertible owner.
With the side window up and the wind delfector / heat on the floor and in front / heated seats on , you can drive in any cool weather. Side window with the deflector help allot.
The deflectors helps with wind coming from under the seats and by your neck.
+1 on being able to use my MINI factory Bluetooth and being able to hear the radio / talk to people in the front seat.
There is the R52 MINI Convertible:
Both versions comes with a little bag and can fold up to go in the boot with the bag.
Regulator Black Wind deflector :

Checkered Version which has faint checkered pattern going across the upper portion that is mostly view-able from the back.

Hope that helps.
