limp home mode after clutch

This past weekend installed an OS Giken clutch and Quaife LSD in my 2005 R53. I have a custom tune from RMW on the car. The car is mostly now used for autocross and track days now. While I was trying to put on the needed 500 break in miles on the clutch, I pulled off of a highway onto the off ramp. As I was in traffic and slowing down the car went into limp home mode. The SES light came on and the car would not go over 11mph. It was 34 degrees outside and the car only goes into limp mode at lower speeds. If the traction control is shut off the car does not do this. The car did the same thing again when I slowed down for a toll booth. The intercooler was also upgraded to a GP intercooler as well the same time as the clutch. The codes that I got was for the throttle body and a max torque exceeded at the flywheel. Any input as to a next step in fixing the limp home mode? The temperature outside has not been warm enough out to see if it's only a temperature issue. Any input would be appreciated.

With a P1685 code check your throttle body, crank pulley, and belt tensioner assembly. Outside temp can play a part in this too. Try resetting the computer and the code and see if it returns.

I was also told to try to clean the throttle body since it may be sticking. But none of these issues have ever occurred until after the clutch install. The computer was reset after the limp home mode occurance. But then it happened again at the toll booth.

Could be a coincidence.

Talk to jan...
Some of his tunes can have an issue with throwing odd codes, especially with cold temps...something to do with the dsc adjustment he does.....told me if it happens, let him know...
In 5 years, i have gotten maybe 3 or 4 very cold days where i threw a code, went to limp mode....a tq limit exceeded ....maybe 1688 from memory....as soon as it warmed up a tiny bit outside, all was fine.
Still, check all the connections...lots of stuff gets bumped when doing a clutch.

Thanks for all the advice. I did speak with Jan and he recommended cleaning the throttle body. I am doing that this weekend. I am also going to drive the car around on Saturday since I need break in miles and it will be a bit warmer (40's) so I will see if that helps.

My bet is that the installer may have pinched the wiring harness to the throttle during the install, or you do have a dying throttle body.
Jan is probably pretty close here. Just check the wiring and connection to the throttle.
Look forward to seeing you at the dragon this year though!
