Great find! I haven't been able to find any mention of the Mini snap-in adapter anywhere. I'm hoping it arrives soon because I have been regretting my iPhone 5 purchase due to not being able to get the armrest attachment.

Any more news or updates concerning this accessory would be appreciated

 

What's frustrating about that ad is that it claims video out functionality, then caveats it in the terms as being 'dependent on phone model and vehicle firmware'

The iPhone 5's loss of video out in the microconnector is the big weak point on integrating the phone into MINI Connected.

This adapter certainly appears to allow for armrest module compliance with the phone's longer body, but for me, at least, that's only half of the picture for iPhone 5 use in the MINI...
