TopSpeed Pro-1 Exhaust?

Has anyone tried this system? It looks pretty good. But the thing is, there aren't a lot of sound clips out there and I have no idea how loud it is. They do make other exhausts for other cars like the M3, Evo X, etc.

What is scary is how the price is so low compared to most exhausts of the R53.

Anyone running this?

I was looking at that too based on the price but for an extra $150 I ended up getting the invidia w/free shipping. Quite a few people run them and at least you're getting something brand name

Yes. I've heard clips of it but too scared to pull the trigger, considering I have not heard much about it.

Searching google for R53's with this exhaust is not going to help either. :(

I'm interested in this exhaust also. I'd like something that is a little meaner sounding that the JCW exhaust that is on my car. I like the pop's and burbles that most of the aftermarket exhaust have.....my JCW exhaust does not do that, it's actually pretty quiet...even with the center resonator removed.

I had this exhaust on my 07 Legacy GT. Lets see where to begin... look up XO2 racing... or CXLightening exhausts... and thats basically what the exhaust is...just rebranded. Chinese knockoff. If you live where it snows alot... you will want to coat the pipes with engine enamel or some other coating or it wont last long. I've seen where the exhaust has only lasted 1 year in places that see snow. They say its the high grade stainless steel but its obviously not cause I know I had the mufflers on the car for maybe a month and they already had rust spots on them. I use to know all the grade of stainless steel but can't think of them off the top of my head. The exhaust also didnt line up 100%.. my Legacy had dual exhaust on it... and the driver side never fit in the cut out 100%.. was always crooked. From what I read... a simple visit to a muffler shop to heat up the pipes and rework them fixed the problem. And also the exhaust was very very quiet... my OEM exhaust seemed louder than the topspeed hahaha. But like I said... Ill let you be the judge by looking up XO2 racing and CXLightening exhausts from other cars.

save some extra money and go with a noted company like borla or nvidia. I'm never sold on anything because it says they make applications of other vehicles. Usually you'll find spotty welds and poor quality off ebay unless its an authentic brand names.

Okay, the review of DRoc7822 is conclusive enough for me. No go! The invidia is about $200 more. So if I finally shell out the money for a cat-back, I'll probably just go for invidia.

Much thanks to all!

Make sure you really shop around well, I ended up getting my Invidia last year for $575 shipped, which was considerably lower then most people sell it for.

Time to bump a year old thread... Searched looking for reviews on this exhaust after contacting their customer service. The guy was very helpful and said these are made at their factory in Tawain, not China and they're outstanding quality as you'd expect any manufacturer to say. I am still not confident enough to pull the trigger and was wondering if anyone on here has installed one in the past year or has any feedback?

i havent, looking closly the mufflers look to be about the same size as my magnaflow, they could be remakes, but my Y system looks different, and mine was also pieced together differently. $400 and free shipping isnt a terrible price.

and i guess the good thing would be that there is quiet a few pieces so fitmet im sure would be easier to do, but take more time, its also nice to see that it looks like they are including gaskets which i didnt get with my magnaflow.

the video does sound good, but there is a racing header

Only issue I see externally with the cheap eBay exhausts (like this one and the m2) is they USUALLY have the hangers welded to the skins of the muffler....
Helix has chimed in and said on a prior post that after a year or so they start to tear...they tried to make a similar system... And had issues....
So "lifetime" is in doubt....but 2 years or so would be expected......

And noticed my heatshield on my muffler is about gone....so I am wishingbi had done it...
Maybe they will have a spring sale...
At $600 it is s no brainer....but when higher...the milteck/stratous is more compelling IMO.

If you look at the pictures from the link i posted, it is welded to the skin but they distribute the load with a "U" bracket, doubt it would be an issue. I pid so little for my car, i hate to spend 10% of what i paid for it on an exhaust so i mak chance it. I really want the invidia but at $650 shipped, it's a tad rich.

The Invidia is quality piece. Good construction and everything bolted up perfectly with no modifications. I like the sound too. On the other hand, you have no name exhaust of questionable quality and fitment thats a bit of a crap shoot. Seems like a no brainer for an extra $150 or so.

Think of it this way, you paid so little for your car you can afford to spend some cash on the exhaust.

God damn you people and your common sense... Why can't anyone just say, "The crappy eBay ones are as good as the $1,000+ exhausts. Best kept secrets around!" lol I know, you get what you pay for. i'll be getting an invidia or a remus

well some stuff is just rebranded, theres been lot of success with the OBX header, which is ebay. i think the most common problem with ebay exhausts are the hangers and which way they actually face since they changed i do believe in 04'

I've been emailing back and forth with TopSpeed and their's is proprietary to them. It's a 304 stainless system that was designed and prototyped in house, they sourced manufacturing to Taiwan and then import and QC the systems in DFW, TX where their warehouse is located. Haven't decided what i am going to do as the invidia is a solid $250 (over 50%) more than this one and the quality seems to be great. I need to do a suspension first so i have time to think on it.

Point being, there are a bunch that are rebrands, this isn't one. I am not making any claims for the exhaust other than that as i have only talked to the manufacturer, not seen one.
