The Unending Intake Leak

So, since the day I installed my K&N Typhoon Intake, I've had a minor leak. there is a little whistle at about 2,000 and 2,500 RPM that is just plain annoying when driving on the highway (and I do a lot). I've taken it apart a couple times, and I've re-tightened it, but nothing really works. I've tightened it so much that there is a little indentation from the ring on the tube...

I don't know if I've over tightened it or what, but I've tried loosening it and changing the position to no avail.
HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP.

-Thanks
Teodoro

Well It was happening well before I over tightened it. It just whistles on the highway, and I'm not sure what it could be...

Maybe try putting tape over each connection point to figure out which one is leaking?

Its not likely a leak. Sounds to me like its the air rushing past the throttle. Mine does it too. All the 1g s cars do it but you don't hear it until you put an intake on it. The factory air box does a pretty good job of making it quiet.
