oil leak on passanger side of motor

Hey guys I spotted a minor oilleak on the pass side of my motor. Its not bad enough to leave major spots on the ground but I want to get it worked out.

From what i can tell there is a minor leak from the valve cover gasket but not enough to cause the build up that i am seeing. It appears that the majority of the buildup is under the sender on the head on the pass side. I'm guessing this is a cam position sender? Is the gasket on this replaceable or does the whole unit need to be swapped? It appears that if i support the motor and remove the motor mount on that side I can easily access it. Has anyone replaced this or the valve cover gasket and can give me some tips?

Thanks

Edit: Damn i spelled Passenger wrong in the title.

The valve cover gasket is not that hard. Once you unbolt everything it on the top of the engine.

We have them right here in the kit and single gasket.

Here are the valve cover seals if you don't get the kit:

The cam potion sensor on the rear has a little o ring. Not hard to access and replace.

Cam position sensor is number #8 , o-ring is #9

Thanks and I hope that helps show the locations and the parts. If you need anything else let me know.

Just put a new valve cover gasket on mine Tuesday, not hard and you won't have to scrape it just pealed right out of the groove, just make sure it is seated in channel correctly before you tighten bolts, you don't want to pinch it.

Wipe clean the oil in that area and just give the valve cover bolts in that area a little tigthening torque and monitor it. Do step one before step two.

Your description sounds like mine. 2009 Clubman S, it only leaks when engine is running. Did the gasket replacement fix the problem? I've read another similar description that was the oil pump and maybe solenoid. I have an extended warranty with a $100 copay but I will have to drive it at least 2 hrs to nearest mini dealer and don't to do that if I can do it myself. I would greatly appreciate any input if anyone would be so kind. I know one thing, there isn't much room under the hood.
