FS: Scorpion Exhaust for MCS SOLD!
I have a brand new, never been opened or installed Scorpion Exhaust for the MCS. This is a very nice exhaust that I purchased from Bavarian Auto. There is nothing wrong with the exhaust. I have to sell because BMW is buying back my Mini and I don't have time to even order a new one until the end of the year. The exhaust installs easily on a 2004 (build date feb) or lower MCS. It does not work out of the box with the new revised exhaust hangars, although it can be modified. The power and sound is similiar to the JCW (according to Randy) so expect about @5hp and a mellow sound with no droning. This is an excellent exhaust at an excellent price. I am selling for $499 plus shipping. This is brand new and never been touched with all the shrink wrap still on the exhaust. It is fully stainless steel and comes with a lifetime warranty from Scorpion. You cannot beat this exhaust for the price. With the bad exchange rate a lot of the European exhaust are inching their way up to the $900 mark. You can have this one for half the price and about 10% off the price of a new one.
>>why is BMW buying back your mini?
There is an electrical problem which is causing my engine to misfire and triggering the ECU into a fail safe mode. They are unable to correct it over the last 6 months and they are unsure if they will ever correct it.
I had an order for a new on a Classic Campus, but I will be in Europe or taking car of a sick relative all summer and will be unable to pick up or use a car. At that point it is getting late and the 2005's may be out. I am also bouncing around the idea of getting something else besides a Mini (I know that sounds aweful). I love the Mini, but there are a lot of really neat cars that have come out in the last two years.
