Question for detailers or anyone with a MINI vs a P---Y problem

I didn't know where else to post this and figured maybe some fellow clean car lovers would be able to help....

Is anyone else having issues with cats jumping n sleeping on their car? every damn day I go out and nothing but sandy paw prints on the hood.
Does anyone have a remedy for keeping them off and please don't get evil n dark on me with kiiller dogs, poison etc....although I'm getting fed up enough to consider a strong sedative to catch them. Yes, I have a MINI cover, but I am not trying to have to put my cover on EVERY night after getting home from work and having dirt, dust, salt spray n jet fuel residue already on the car. HELLLLLP!!!!

Same problem and.... it's my own family cat!

The turbo heat is the draw. I have not found any way to keep them off it. Hope someone else has.

I had this problem a few years ago. I just caught that cat in the act as it jumped on the '05 MCS and yelled and shouted at that damn cat. The cat got the idea that I didn't want him on the car and never came back to roost on my car again. Ya gotta catch him in the act is the trick. Good luck, I hope you catch him.

Seriously? This is why garages exist. It's like me getting angry when it snows on my car and I have to brush it off or wondering what I can do to birds that crap on my car. That's life.

If you have a cover and, for some reason, jet fuel is laying around your car that can be tracked onto the paint, then you need to get used to using the cover nightly or find a garage. If you really don't want to use a cover, you will need to buy one of those paint sealant things they offer at the dealership or be very diligent about clay and waxing the car to protect its finish. Doing something like sedating people's pets or wildlife shouldn't be an option.

I find raccoon prints on my sunroof all the time. Sometimes they bring treats with them... clumps of moss and mud from the adjacent roof. It's sort of annoying, but that's life... cars live outside, after all.

You can also try some "No Mark" spray from Petsmart. Cats don't like citrus, which is essentially what the spray is. Once you establish (to your cat) that the car smells bad, they won't hang out on it any more.
