A quick question for anyone who has more knowledge than me...

if i upgrade my Intercooler, im not gonna mention brand to avoid THAT conversation, and the intercooler pipes (hot side and cold side) will i need a tune right away to avoid my car running weird from the drastic change in surface area and pressure with the larger intercooler? only bc i dont kno if i can afford to purchase all 3 at the same time.. the pipes and FMIC are goin to be purchased and installed together tho .. a little help?

No need for a tune yet. Your computer is adaptive. Run it hard just after install (Way's of WMW recommendation) and it will figure it out. Look at my list below. I have had the FMIC for 1 1/2+ years and am just now making plans for a tune.

If you have a N18 engine, I'd recommend not getting the cold side pipe, you don't need it. But get the hot side pipe!

And like he said no need to get a tune ASAP. It'll just had more power when you decide to tune your car. Good luck man.

You don't need a new tune to run an intercooler, most people that have an intercooler are still running the stock tune.

Thanks all for your responses . I have a n14 engine so I've got the annoying noisemaker on the hotside and the coldside has a resonator which can be deleted... Im getting a Cobb accessPort so I can tune and untune my car. I live nyc so the roads aren't exactly racecar friendly -___-
