2003 Mini Cooper S - 1 step polish by Mr. Sparkle Detailing - Long Island

Owner of this 2003 Mini Cooper S contacted me for a 1 step polish & sealant. He took pretty good care of the car, but was looking to breathe some life back into it

First a foam bath to get things started. Mix of Optimum Power Clean and Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss

all exterior trim was cleaned with OPC and Race Glaze brushes, along with the emblems

Paint was treated with Wolfs Decon gel and after that it still felt very rough. I went at it with Clay Magic blue, and this is after half the hood.

Inspection under LED lights showed the true condition of the paint. I found that it responded well to an LC white pad with Meguiars M205. Keep in mind that full correction is not the goal here but a significant amount of correction was achieved

The roof was painted black, and I found Menzerna SF4000 provided a better finish there

Paint was protected with Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant. Exterior trim dressed with Ultima Trim & Tire Guard. Tires dressed with Poorboys Bold & Bright

Damn! Good Job! Would have been better if you corrected it all the way like start with the Meguiar's M105 then finish with the M205 but then like you said you weren't going for perfection. Still nice results though for a "1 step"! Good Job!

a 2 step correction was not in the budget for the client. He wanted it looking better as it had never been detailed

recent 2 step correction on a black 2008 Audi A4

Nicely done. Shame it couldn't be fully corrected but like you said, it always depends on the customers dime.

Still a much better paint correction job than most will be able to do in their own driveway. Im sure that it was well worth the money to peel a few years off that cars complexion. :-)
