Is this just another cork?

I have searched but i have not found a solution for my problem at the moment, maybe because i read past it but any post i found, i felt there wasn't really an answer there.

So, yesterday i went to jump into our 06 Mini JCW, when I jumped inside. i put the key in and then started her. when i started her the Speedo started Vibrating. you could see the needle vibrating and you could hear it, Lasted for about ten seconds and then it stopped by itself. I talked my girl, the daily driver of the car, and she said its been doing that lately but she assumed it had something to do with the weather( been in the teens with snow and ice for a week or so now) i did not think this was a JCW thing, so i posted in the main part of forums. I have read the possibility of it being a battery problem or it is part of the corkyness of the car.

All i really want to know is the bottom line, will this affect the car? will it get worse?

Could be battery related. When my battery was on its way out weird things such as what you describe would happen. Including flashing lights on the dash and window going up and down a bit.

so far that is the only direction i have at the moment. makes sense, especially when you take into consideration that after i drove it around it stopped. but i was also turning the car on slowly each time, hoping that was it. but then my girl started it slowly this morning and the same thing happened. Just keep the suggestions coming, or if anybody has had this problem.

My car used to do that (Oct. 2002 build; 3003 MY MCS). I couldn't figure out what was causing it, however, it was very sporadic. You could always attempt an electrical re-set where you disconnect the battery for a little while to see if that does any good. Mine never got worse, and it never led to odd behavior during operation of the vehicle.
