GIAC flash for R53

Hello. I'm interested in recent experiences and opinions about this flash.

Other local options here are Evotech ($700+), Shark ($400). The GIAC is $400 installed by a local authorized dealer/installer.

I'm only looking at local installations, and a dyno tune is not a practical option.

Most of the threads and coments I've found are pretty old.

I'm not looking for monster hp, just want to pull together my CAI, 15% pulley and Milltek catback. That is all the engine mods I plan to do. Rest of the mods will be suspension related.

Thx

Update as of Jan 2013: Had the ECU flashed with GIAC software yesterday.

The car runs smoother, throtle response is OK, nothing spectacular, but better.

The flash has made the car more drivable, it has not made it a hot rod.

$400 installed at Matrix Integrated here in Portland, OR.

Upgrades: 15% pulley, CAI, Catback, MSD wires/coil, colder range plugs.

BTW, I have a Sprint Booster, and the tune has made the Sprint Booster a little too sensitive even in green mode. The flash was better bang for the buck.
