is mileage and mph at trip computer avail. same time?

hello i got a r56 2009 mcs with wave radio. i saw this vid on youtube. as you can see, car's trip computer shows mph at the bigger upper screen (the one inside the rev counter) and mpg at the lower screen. mine shows either time-date or mph at the upper one. and when it shows mph, clock and time info goes into to lower screen. it seems like there is no way to change this.

is there any way to do this or i need some aftermarket mod or smthng? ty for any help.

Sometime between 2009 and 2012 the changed it so the big speed was always uptop and the bottom number could be changed between the other numbers (mpg whatever). I find the old way much more use.

I don't know if you can program the old version to work like the new one, you could always get a newer MINI.

Yes, with NCSExpert. Check out the electrical section of the forums. Be warned it's very much not a user friendly mod.

I just had a "coder" set the variable on my 08 to always display the mph in the upper display so that I could have 2 useful readouts. It was 11 and newer when BMW changed it. Personally I have no use for 2 clocks (the one on the radio is always visible) and don't need an always visible exterior temperature readout. I would recommend finding a coder in your area familiar with the process and has the tools. It's seriously only takes a few minutes to recode this particular feature, and most of that is navigating the computer software.
