Red car on lift and yellow brake light???

Hello, any help will be greatly appreciated!!

I have a 2009 Mini S with about 38K on the car and I have two lights up on the dash. Red car on Lift and yellow brake light on. I did a CC-ID Check and these two codes came up for both lights.

CC-ID 231- It said that this light is the footwell module (FRM) Lighting system!! Okay, All the lights are working on the outside of the car, but on the inside none of the lights on the dash are working like the blinkers, high beams, and when you turn on the headlights the dash is supposed to light up orange, well that is not happening. What could be this problem???

CC-ID 354- This light is the DSC Hill assist inactive, basically the hill assist is not working and it says its inactive. I tested it on a hill this morning and not working. What could be this problem?

The car seems to be running perfectly fine, I just can't seem to find out the problem. Any help will be awesome!! Thanks!

If you press and hold the button on the turn signal and cycle thru the messages you should get more info. For example once you see the red car on lift, press again or is it press and hold, and you would see the front half or the rear half of the car on the lift. If that is the case, then you have more than likely tripped the brake wer sensor on the front or the rear. That is why the brake light comes on as well. (There are other conditions for the brake light).

Not unheard of to trip the wear sensor at that low mileage. If the car has been driven with a lot of brake use, stop/go, it can happen.

Cant help with the CCID

Thanks for all of the replies guys, unfortunately it's not the brakes. Took it to the dealer this morning and something electrical is wrong with the car. Thank the lord for extended warranties. I had changed the breakes and sensors about 2 months ago, so I new it wasn't the brakes, but anyhow it's in the shop and they gave me a nice 2012 Mini S to drive around till the car is fixed.

Sorry to bring back such an old thread but I am in the same boat now. The other day I was sitting in a parking lot with my radio on and when i went to start the car it struggled abit as the battery was a bit weak. Once started i got the red car on a lift and yellow brake light but that isnt where my problems stop. My blinkers, windows, highbeams, reverse lights, dashlights, hill assist and sport mode dont work. I figured it was probably because the battery was lowx so I went to pep boys and got a replacement. Replaced the battery and nothing has changed. I then thought maybe it needed to be registered, so used bmwlogger to register the battery and it said it was successful. To be honest i dont even thonk my car has IBS but im not positive what it would look like even if i did have it. As for now I will continue to drive the car in the state its in until i get a chance to go to a dealer, which wont be anytime soon due to work and the distance to the closest dealer. Any insight would be appreciated as im pretty much coming up with nothing in my search for answers
