The Grapevine I-5 Fwy in California
Last Friday was my first chance to test my 2008 MCS on the open highway. Of all the years I have driven on the grapevine (Major Hwy, steep grades, lots of curves) this is the first time I was in a car that did not struggle getting through the Fort Tejon Pass. The car is 4 years old and I was passing up every one while climbing the grades! When a car or truck made a sudden lane change in front of me the response was phenomenal! My Mini S was like a magnet on the road taking every advantage of the laws of physics. I was using the manual shift on the auto trani so that I could test the 6th gear. When someone was trying to pass me up, I down shifted to 5th/4th and suprised the hell out of them. This car is a true sleeper!
