I bought these "just in case" for a drive through the mountains a couple of Decembers ago in my R53. I test fitted them in the parking lot to make sure I knew how to do it before getting on the road (hard shoulder in snow is not the best place to realize you have no idea how to get them on). Long story short, the mountains were clear, so I didn't have to use them, and now I'm in a place where it just doesn't snow.

They were about $90 new, and they're still basically new. Win-win.
