Yesterday, I attended a car show that benefitted the American Diabetes Association. One of the participants showed up in a supercharged (350hp) 2006 Lotus Elise. When we left the show, he went one way and I went another, but I ended up running into him at the on-ramp to the Interstate. Since the on-ramp has this nice curve to it, I decided to test the driver of the Elise, who by the way is a really nice guy. Well, it was not until he was well out of the curve when he decided to pour on the power. I was running about 95mph when he punched it and came flying past me. That is one bad@$$ car. That was a race I could not win, but it was fun to blast around the curve at nearly 85mph. I had never taken that curve that fast before. Tackleberry stuck into it like glue. I really love the suspension changes I made in my MINI.
