need advise

just got my 2012 bayswater ,never came with h/k just the stock stereo.would like to get some better sound but don't want to go crazy and redo the whole stereo,like all my past cars.haha.has anybody just added speakers ? is there a oem mini amp/sub box combo the mounts somewhere.any help would be great thanx.

The only options you have are rewiring the car for the hk upgrade or going after market with the IA setup or products from other brands... speakers themselves will give an upgrade to the sound but how much? What are you wanting from your setup?

thanks for the info! well i would just like some better sound .would love to get a powered sub but really all i need is it to sound better when the stereo is louder.i have always upgraded stereo's in my vehicles but as i'am a little older know ha ha i just want to keep it simple and get some better sound thats all.i thought about upgrading the speakers and putting in some dynamat in the doors.def do not feel like rewiring....

Sound damping/deadening material will most likely yield the best results as the noise floor in the cabin will be much lower so you might get dynamics in the music, I would also advise you to try mass loaded vinyl or closed cell foam to further help the deadening material do its job from there if the sound isn't to your liking then swap the audio components.
