Xenon retrofit

Hello
Has anyone tried this retrofit xenon kit yet?MINI Cooper R50 R52 R53 OEM Xenon Headlamp Retrofit Kit
How easy is this setup an does it still has to be programmed ?

That's alot of $$$ for a kit. Most of the ones I have seen are $400-600 and come with complete headlight assemblies and ballasts. Typically, you plug in a wiring harness that interfaces between your stock headlight bulb and the ballast of the new kit. There is nothing that needs to be programmed. The only thing I don't know offhand is whether the 1st-gen Xenon retrofit kits still have a separate high-beam bulb. The 2nd-gen MINIs have a single Xenon bulb for both low beam and high beam.

I sent him a question about what is needed as far as programming or coding. His reply was according to the manual it has to be coded. I've did some research here and remember reading i think with everything to do the retro kit and probably installed by dealer would be in the area of $3,000 if I understood correctly.
