R56 2007 Mini Tail Light Removal
2007 Mini Tail Light Removal
I have purchased a set of Tail/Headlights for my 2007 Mini to give it a more sleek look. I have installed the headlights and just need to align the beam. I just got in the Tail Lights yesterday and looked at some video's and I went under and removed side plate and there is nothing attached for the 10mm screw. My Aftermarket lights have the attachment to fit in but I took a quick look and wanted to get some advice before I went in and started hacking away. Please let me know. I am replacing the entire tail light unit. Please let me know any tips. I appreciate the help.

1. Use a flat head screwdriver or similar tool and wedge it between the chrome trim ring and the taillight.
The key is to work from the inside of the ring with the screwdriver tip pointing towards the outside of the taillight.
2. The light is held in by three torx screws (not sure of size.)
3. There is a single electrical connection that must be disconnected before you can pull the light out.
