Model Year Change Timing

Does anyone know when the 2012 model year run is going to end at the factory, and when the factory will start producing 2013's? I assume there will be a cutoff and 2012's and 2013's will not be rolling out of the factory at the same time. I read on another website that it will be November, but is sounds like buyers are still able to factory order 2012's, and the website configurator is consistent with that. I see you can build a 2013 JCW model on the UK website, but if you want to build any other CM model it's a 2012.

I'd be curious to definitively know that one too. Last I heard, 2013 production was supposed to start in the next week or two, but I put my deposit down around Labor Day and I've been getting strung along by my local dealer ever since. I was gladly willing to wait an extra two weeks to avoid the unwanted satellite radio, but two weeks turned into two more weeks (and so on), and I would've lived with it if it meant not waiting an extra two months.

Anyway, I've had a production number for a 2013 CMS for about 10-12 days now, but I still can't get in the MINI Owners' Lounge with it.

At this point, I just hope it reaches me before Christmas.

I now have a VIN number for my 2013 CMS and it should be in production any day now, so I'm guessing that the window has closed for ordering Pure Red, Surf Blue, or Bright Yellow.

I put my order in on 10/23/2012 and it was for a 2013.

Packages have changed, Tunnel Spoke no longer available - which is what i wanted.

Surf Blue and current red colors are gone. New color of red and Brilliant Copper offered- Bench seats are now standard. You pay $250 if you want rear buckets - but if you get the standard bench seats then it makes you pay 250 for the flat load floor???

So you pay 250 bucks either way... Dumb - Those are some of the changes I saw...

Well, If I can ever get mine in, I might take you up on that! How much were you looking for them? And where are you located?
