R50/53 How did you get your intake manifold off?

How did you get your intake manifold off?
Is it possible with the supercharger still on the car? I can almost get it off but it hits the SC exhaust horn on the way off the left-most bolt. It's really close, so I'm not sure if it's supposed to be possible or not.
