R50/53 R56 arches on a R53?
R56 arches on a R53?
anyone else hate the arches on the R53? i kinda do. i really dont care too much for the gaps and such; how its all in pieces.
so i was wondering if anyone has tried to put R56 arches on our R53s? Yes, i know the arch comes up with the hood. aside from that, are the curves the same? would the arch cover enough of the car? (to match the original)?

Completely agree with dubstepsteve, very confused on this thought you have brewin up
Is there more of a reason why your trying to accomplish this by chance?? .....Like...... have you acquired a set of R56's for free, or wrecked your R53, and are looking to replace parts with different ones?

bc the arches have that CUT in them, from the fender, to the hood, and then again at the bumper. i thought using a R56 arch, you could just have one big smooth arch, no gaps.
what else about the r56 version is ugly? they look about the same to me... i wouldnt be using the little side marker lights anyway (i vinyl wrapped mine)

The reason for the gaps is because our arches are bolted to the hood. The R56 very different under the hood because they have full metal inner fenders/wheel wells that extend to the front of the mini and bolt up to the headlights. On our cars there's nothing but the cheap flimsy thin plastic inner fender liners. So really nothing for you to bolt a full un-cut wheel arch to.
