Trying to recharge my AC

Hi guys... My Bentley manual is in NC with the soon to be ex husband who won't send me anything of my stuff so I apologize for the possible simple solution to this but gotta ask..
My fan is coming on & will blow cool air as it's been in the garage when I start my days. My light won't come on & finally got the button to push in but no cold air coming out. I wanna just charge my AC but not sure how. Can someone direct me to a post or something that will show me a schematic of the back of the panel on my dash (button was sticking & put some goo-gone on it with a toothbrush to clean it up & now it's moving again but the whole area is now moving a bit every time I push any buttons on it ) as well as any suggestions on how to charge it. I don't have the money to take it to the MINI dealership here so the boyfriend & I are trying to do this on our own.

Thank so much in advance for any help...very very appreciated!!

Charging the AC is easy.
Go to an auto parts store and get an AC recharge kit, R134 and a hose.
The fitting on the hose will only fit one of the AC lines so it is very easy (low pressure side).
Attach the line, start the car, pull the trigger on the AC recharge kit, watch the pressure on the recharge line and make sure you don't over fill.
Also, keep the R134 can upright so you are only introducing GAS 134 and not the liquid to the system. Dumping the liquid into the low pressure side is not good for the compressor.
Good luck.

You might try plastic safe contact cleaner on the switch...or try to spray around the edge to behind it....safe to say the button got splashed with some sugared soda/coffe?
