2006 R50 some interior lights not working, others OK

I tried posting this under the "electrical" section, but haven't gotten any responses yet, so I figured I'd give it a try here. I apologize for any annoyance this may cause (note to mods, if you are going to delete one of the two posts, please delete the one under modifications>electrical, since this is not a modification).

I tried resetting my ECU yesterday through the on-board diagnostic method using the Speedometer LCD. I noticed shortly thereafter (perhaps they weren't working previously) that some of my interior lights weren't working:

-The radio button lights (but the radio LCD works fine);
-The interior door handle lights;
-The sunroof button/switch lights; and
-the ambiance lights that shine down on the shifter.

It's funny because all of the other interior lights are working fine (A/C button lights, toggle switch panel lights, ambiance light for the cigarette lighter area, dome lights, etc.)

I checked to see if any fuses were blown - none. I also disconnected my D1 Spec Throttle Controller to see if that was causing an issue - nothing. I currently have the battery disconnected to see if that resets something...

Anyone have any ideas? I fear it is the Body Control Module, but it's just so strange that SOME of the interior lights aren't working, but others are fine.

Next stop is the MINI dealer...

Update: I spoke with the folks at Precision Auto Werks here in Miami (apparently they are t he go-to folks for MINIs down here), and they suspect there is a leak somewhere and the BCM got wet.

This makes sense especially since the issue happened just after Tropical Storm Isaac rolled through. My car did sit out in the rain all day, and I drove to work through some pretty nasty conditions...

I found the culprit- the ian cull auto up circuit. I removed the circuit and all the lights started working. Anyone ever heard for the ian cull causing these issues?

FWIW, Issue turned out to be that some of the connectors were damaged on the auto-up
