Has anybody driven the C320? How does it compare to the MINI Cooper S? I am having such trouble getting an S that I may go in this direction instead.

Try contacting some out-of-state dealers. Many have S's on the lot and ready to go these days. If you are willing to travel a little bit, you get a fun ride home to break in your engine!

You won't have nearly as much fun in the Mercedes. . . . .

I considered the same thing at one point, but realized that the aftermarket and club scene for the Mercedes was going to be next to nothing, and the MINI is really something special. The Mercedes is just a really small Mercedes. . . .
